Consultation No.104  |  Parish Paths Partnership (P3)   ()

The P3 started as a national scheme launched in 1992. The scheme was originally administered by the Countryside Management Service for Hertfordshire but this has changed to Hertfordshire Groundwork on behalf of Hertfordshire County Council.

The first meeting of St Ippolyts Footpath and Bridleway Group was held in October 1994. It was co-ordinated for 15 years by Robert B Williams who resigned at the end of June. Linda and Roger Smee took over this voluntary role on 1July 2009 and are well supported by other group members, see Directory for contact details.
All the parish paths and bridleways are currently in good order. In addition to carrying out maintenance work on site, there is currently an annual newsletter in October and post Christmas walk.
The Walks Around the Parish leaflet was produced by St Ippolyts Parish Council using a grant from the Parish Paths Partnership Scheme. The six suggested walks all start within the parish and each one is no more than 4 miles long over well signposted footpaths. A copy was given to all pupils at Kingshott School and St Ippolyts Primary School in July 2008. A copy has also been delivered to all households in the parish. Further copies are available from St Ippolyts Stores and Church plus other outlets.
